Open Pack Positions

Submitted by mattfloyd on Sat, 2008/08/02 - 7:13am.

The pack needs your help. Many of the positions needed each year are unfilled. In order to "help the pack go", each family should signup for at least 1-2 positions. Attached are the positions and also a description of each one.

To volunteer, please email Matt Floyd at mfloyd2@austin.rr.com

The pack and the cubs thank you for your assistance and time.

BALOO Training

2006/09/23 - 8:30am
2006/09/23 - 5:00pm

The Pack can't go camping unless we have at least one person who has completed BALOO at the campout! We especially need some leaders or parents of the younger cubs to attend.

BALOO is short for "Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation." It is a fun one-day session where you learn about both the rules we have to follow and some guidelines for planning a fun and successful camping activity. You may see demonstrations of camping gear and will definitely learn a lot of tips from fellow Scouters.

Continental-style breakfast items will be available, and lunch is provided, as it is part of the curriculum.

The take home phase of our popcorn fund raising is when the cub scouts receive a brochure of all the products for sale. Scouts and their families can take orders from anyone - relatives, neighbors, friends, and co-workers. The popcorn is delivered during the late November / early December timeframe.

More details to come.

The take home order phase will start on 9/30/06. During this phase you can accept orders from your neighbors, friends, co-workers, and relatives for popcorn. There will be more products available than in the show and sell phase such as chocolate covered popcorn (my favorite) and cheese flavored popcorn.
